Summary:
The Lab Technician works under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor.
PRINCIPLE
Responsibilities:
Sample preparation/digestion/extraction per approved procedure.
Calibrating balances, pipets, PH meter, and other general equipment.
Monitoring temperature zones used for sample and chemical storage and sample preparation.
Inventorying supplies, chemicals, and standards; and aiding lab waste management.
Responsible for documentation, assuring quality and timeliness of data generation, maintenance of the Gas Chromatograph and other relevant laboratory equipment used in daily testing, data interpretation, reporting results, and resolving analytical problems.
Responsible for all quality control procedures and requirements for quality assurance of analytical data.
Maintain cleanliness of lab.
Ability to learn how to use pH meter, gas chromatograph, flash point instrument, or other specified laboratory testing equipment.
