We are seeking a _Baler Helper-General Laborer_ for our warehouse located in Elizabeth, NJ. This is an entry level position into the plant. These roles create value by reducing hazards and maintaining the appearance of the plant. The role contributes to a team environment by cross training and filling in to other roles.
_ Responsibilities include:_
Performing all duties in safe and compliant manner
Continuously Sweep floors and trailers, pick up any debris keep the floor clean and safe
Collecting plastic bags and making plastic bales
Remove from trailers any small packages/items that lift truck drivers cannot pickup with their equipment
Organizing pallets, crate, plastic bottles and plastic pails to be recycled
Open and close trailer doors to better assist the lift truck drivers
Set dock plates and retract dock plate for the export containers
Unload all loose plastic bags from trailers
Feed the plastic balers, tie and extract plastic bales.

Qualifications:_
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Must have at least 6 months manufacturing or labor intensive work experience
Must be willing to work any shift, weekends, holidays and overtime, as needed
Must be willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts
Must be able to work in a hot, cold, humid, noisy, industrial environment
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely
Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks repetitively for extended periods of time (i.e. lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling)
Must be willing to wear the necessary Personal Protection equipment (PPE) (i.e. hard hats, safety glasses, face shield, chemical suit, respirator, ear plugs, hearing protection, steel-toe boots or safety shoes and other PPE required by specific jobs)
